There were so many serendipitous situations about Jonathan and Tori’s wedding.
One day, I got a wedding inquiry in my email, as you often do when working in the wedding videography world. If you’ve checked out my contact form, you’ll see a box to enter where you found out about And Ever Films. The odd thing about this one was they found out about me through Reddit. Of all places, Reddit?
Doing some sleuthing I found that Jonathan had asked in the Sacramento subreddit if anyone knew of any wedding videographers. One of my friends had seen the post and immediately recommended me. Jonathan and Tori loved my work and when we met to discuss their wedding, I knew we’d found a great fit for making an awesome wedding film together!
This wedding was our 2nd of the year at the Firehouse, it was great to be back at a familiar venue and know the lay of the land. It was also our first with the Reverend Ronald Beams. It seemed I could not go to a bridal show or wedding vendor mixer without running in to Ron, and having delightful conversation that always led to us talking about how great it would be to eventually work together.
To top it all off, I had been looking at the work of Jonathan and Tori’s photographer, Bre Thurston. Bre has been shooting photos from the Bay Area to Seattle and all over. Turns out, several years ago, she also shot the wedding of my second shooter Andrew and his wife!
It’s pretty amazing how all these connections came together. Even more, all these connections revolved around a really great couple who has many future years of happiness ahead of them.
